Things Found on Mars Funny Life Hacks

In recent times, there has been an increased interest in the exploration of Mars. And if you ask the experts, knowing more about this "Red Planet" is quite important.

According to the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), "A mission to our nearest planetary neighbor provides the best opportunity to demonstrate that humans can live for extended, even permanent, stays beyond low Earth orbit." Furthermore, NASA explained, "The challenge of traveling to Mars and learning how to live there will encourage nations around the world to work together to achieve such an ambitious undertaking. The International Space station has shown that opportunities for collaboration will highlight our common interests and provide a global sense of community."

Since exploratory missions to Mars started, we've all been treated to a number of incredible photos from its areas. However, we must admit, some of these images are rather unsettling. Let's check them out:

20 Ammonite

This image was taken by NASA's very own Martian rover. And based on the appearance of the fossil, it appears to be that of an ammonite.

This creature resembled a snail and used to exist on Earth. A man named Scott C. Waring had discovered this from NASA's images and he wrote on his blog, UFO Sightings Daily, "Here on Earth, Ammonites died out 66 million years ago, but lived as long ago as 200 million years ago. I believe that since it evolved on a different planet, its shape was effected by a different evolution involving different environmental influences."

19 Crab

In another photo taken from Mars, it appears that there is a crab that is free to roam around the planet.

Upon noticing this, Waring wrote on his blog, "Such a creature was once seen near the Russian Mars probe that landed, took a few photos, then died. In it was a crab like creature on four to six long legs."

18 Lizard

According to a report from BuzzFeed, it seems that someone in Japan had been going over several photos taken on Mars when he noticed that there seems to be a lizard in one of the photos.

In some angles, it appears that this 'lizard' was about to make a move when the image was captured. However, if you look at a wider shot, the lizard just appears like one of the rocks on the planet.

17 Dinosaur Fossil

A number of images taken on Mars seem to indicate the presence of a dinosaur fossil. As you may know, dinosaurs once roamed the earth millions of years ago. They have since become instinct as Hollywood movies romanticized the idea of bringing them back to life. If they used to exist on Earth, is it possible that they used to exist on Mars too?

According to a report from Express though, NASA seems to think that this so-called fossil is just a group of eroded rocks.

16 Squirrel

Because of this image, many became convinced that there is indeed a squirrel that has been living on Mars. Moreover, according to a report from Gizmodo, speculation grew after NASA accidentally posted the image with the supposed squirrel online.

People even zoomed in on the image and it appeared like the creature had eyes and a bushy tail.

15 Spacecraft

Upon seeing this image, many UFO buffs were convinced that this is a downed spacecraft that ended up crashing on Mars.

However, it didn't look to be an Earthly spaceship design though. Instead, according to Waring, "The black object looks like a crashed UFO. The craft is only about 2.5-3 meters across, so it probably only held a few passengers."

14 Pyramid

On Earth, the pyramids were built by ancient Egyptians. On Mars, nobody knows what type of civilization would be able to design a similar feat of engineering. However, Dr. Jim Bell, an astronomy professor at Arizona State University, told Huffington Post that this is probably not a pyramid at all.

In an email, he wrote, "It is probably a volcanic rock (like most rocks that we've seen with rovers on Mars), and just like many volcanic rocks on the Earth, many volcanic rocks on Mars break and cleave in very sharp, angular ways."

13 Dome

This photo, which was taken by NASA's Curiosity Mars Rover, definitely captured Waring's attention.

On his blog, he wrote, "This ancient dome on Mars has stood the test of time. I have reported this dome when it was further away, but never before have we seen it so close as now. Its reflective smooth surface shows it was built to reflect the heat and keep the interior cool."

12 Levitating Sphere

This image was captured by the Curiosity rover's Mast camera (Mastcam) on April 10, 2015. Located near Mount Sharp, the image seems to show a levitating sphere that got the UFO community excited and fascinated.

In fact, some even went on to refer to this as a "floating spoon." However, according to the website Space, NASA claims that this is just leftover debris from a Martian campsite or kitchen.

11 Ancient God's Face

Among the images taken from NASA's Mars Opportunity rover appears to be a rock that has been printed with the face of an ancient god. And according to CNET, the image of the god closely resembles Nabu, the Neo-Assyrian god of wisdom.

However, once again, it is possible that the image is nothing more than a pile of Martian rocks.

10 Coffin

At one point, during NASA's exploration of the Red Planet, it took an image which seemed to indicate that there was coffin lying on Mars.

According to a report from the Daily Mail, the sight was discovered by Will Farrar. On his YouTube channel, he wrote, "This little box sure does look like a modern coffin concrete liner."

9 Tomb

Eagle-eyed observers have claimed that one of the images taken by NASA on Mars shows a tomb.

On his blog, Waring shared his observations, saying, "It shows a face and head turned to its right, with breasts and a plump stomach, shoulders. Very remarkable detail in this photo. This photo alone should be enough to convince the United Nations that intelligent life once existed on Mars, but NASA doesn't want anyone to know the truth, because they will be asked to share the info and technology that they have found."

8 Helmet

Looking at one of the photos taken by NASA's Curiosity rover, some are quite convinced that a helmet from World War 1.

YouTube user UFOvni had shared this image on one of his videos and the description reads, "The image seems to show a Nazi army helmet on the rocky surface of Mars. NASA has not yet made an official comment on the discovery."

7 Skull

Another image that has got conspiracy theorists and UFO hunters buzzing is this photo of what appeared to be a fossilized skull on Mars. According to Warring, the skull appears to be "broken open at the forehead."

He further observed, "It has an extended cranium, antenna, eyes, nose, mouth, chin and beard, which seems to depict a male warrior. I say warrior because his helmet has a ridge down its center of the forehead area to the center of the cranium as well as a ridge around the broken area."

6 Thigh Bone

Aside from the skull, it seems that another image taken by NASA on Mars shows a fossilized thigh bone.

However, NASA was quick to explain that this is not the case. According to the agency, "Mission science team members think its shape is likely sculpted by erosion, either wind or water."

5 Human Face

According to NASA, this image was taken in 1976, when its Viking 1 spacecraft was circling the planet to take photos of possible landing sites for Viking 2, its sister ship. Since then, NASA has returned and photographed the same spot in 1998 and 2001.

As it turns out, NASA discovered that the 'face' is really "a natural landform." NASA further stated, "There was no alien monument after all."

4 Lone Woman

According to several conspiracy theorists, this photo clearly depicts the presence of a lone woman wandering around Mars.

However, according to a report from Forbes, it seems that we are just experiencing a condition known as "pareidolia," wherein the brain would produce a pattern from something. Hence, we assume that we are looking at a hidden image in a photo.

3 Creature Peeking Out of a Cave

From this image taken by NASA's Curiosity rover, it appears that there is a man peering out a cave on the Red Planet.

According to a video post by Waring on YouTube, "Right inside this little cave area, there is a pink face or a red face sticking out. Is it a living being, possibly. The person looks like they are peeking out and looking at the rover."

2 Alien

It seems that this image taken by the Curiosity rover is key to proving that there are creatures who once existed on Mars.

The YouTube channel Paranormal Crucible had decided to upload this image to a video on the site and explained, "A remarkable Martian artifact has been photographed on the Red Planet by the Mars Curiosity Rover. The artifact, which resembles a large statue, was photographed by the rover as it surveyed the rocky terrain around gale crater."

For years now, there has been a great deal of fascination surrounding Big Foot, a mythical creature that is said to live deep in the forests.

One image, however, has also led some to believe that Bigfoot also exists on Mars. The idea is fascinating. However, there is still very little evidence to support this claim.
