UTICA/SCHUYLER - Mr. Patrick A. "Pat" Marino, age 67, passed away unexpectedly on Mon, Nov 8, 2021. He is at present reunited and was welcomed into heaven by his beloved dad, Anthony, and sister, Antoinette. Born and raised in Utica, Pat was brought into this world by his parents Vita R. (Casullo) Marino and the late Anthony F. Marino on January vi, 1954. Pat was educated commencement at Conkling Uncomplicated School, and then graduated from T.R. Proctor High School/Class of 1972. Pat was a hard-working human with a eye of gold. He was blessed to spend his life working aslope his best friend, his father, with whom Pat operated the generational family business, Marino'southward Lunch which was located on Baggs Square in downtown Utica, originally founded by his grandfather, Vincenzo. Then, in 1980, the pair acquired Mr. Nostalgia Restaurant and expanded their family business. There, Pat and his father made numerous memorable friendships. Pat appreciated the simple things in life, and incorporated this mindset into this business. Work was not tough labor to him – it was his life. He and his dad were fair businessmen, and to them, customers always came get-go. The duo was known for treating Friday every bit a sacred mean solar day; later all, Friday was fish-fry day! Pat was a man steeped in these special traditions, which he shared with all whom he encountered. He was a human of routine, and a piece of work ethic that couldn't exist shaken; he was equally responsible, organized, and precise in his work. Pat brought this same level of care and attending to his family unit, to whom he was particularly devoted. He was both a dedicated son and loving blood brother, who held his sister Grace in a special place in his heart. There was nothing Pat wouldn't do to assist Grace in her needs, providing for her physical health and serving as a steadfast emotional back up. Pat and his sister Vita were a squad in caring for their Mom and sister considering they both believed in the mantra that family came first, and they truly cared for each other dearly. Driven by his desire to provide for life's simple pleasures, Pat worked hard and then as to enjoy activities like camping during his time off. His friends Dave Evans and Lisa Colicci-Leone shared annual 4th of July and Labor Day weekend adventures with Pat, when wonderful memories were made and a sacred time was spent at Alexandria Bay. Pat'south favored boosted activities included oft riding his Harley Davidson motorcycles, just was e'er back by 5 for dinner. Pat owned several classic cars and was quite meticulous in their care. He would show them off at Dave's Diner. However, his collection wasn't limited to classics, but included a few Corvettes. His appreciation for these stylish autos served him well, as Pat not simply delighted in taking rides in them, just also relished sharing his passion for them with other members of the Mohawk Valley Corvette Order, Inc., by which he gained many good friends. This NASCAR fan was known for traveling downwards to Millville, NJ annually to frequent N.J. Motorsports Park. Pat had a "man" for everything, and others would turn to him and rely on his good judgment for references. Pat was "old schoolhouse," a "man's man" who was family and friends-oriented and proud of his Italian heritage. He possessed an exceptional dear for his family history, and served every bit their unofficial "historian." Pat was moreover a gifted storyteller. He could make fifty-fifty the most stoic person laugh with his jokes from by years and his animated portrayals of old stories. He knew laughter is good for the soul. A true Italian, Pat highly valued family togetherness around a adept dinner. He insisted on everyone being present for Sunday meals, and loved upholding those traditions. He specially cared about holidays, and understood them to be a special time. Pat was even famous for his Christmas Eve contribution: linguine and clam sauce – which was by far, the best dish of the night. Unfortunately, this dynamic shifted later the loss of family members. Yet Pat continued to effort and go along things as normal and enjoyable equally possible. He ever helped to pull the family together and make things correct in tough times. Pat was filled with faith, and trusted in the Lord. He lived knowing in his heart that the Lord would call him home when he was set. Pat is survived past his cherished mother, Vita; and his sisters, Grace Ann Marino, and Vita DelBuono and fiancé Steve Altieri. Pat held close to his centre the memory of his sister Antoinette Marie (Marino) Gaetano, who passed on May 7, 2005. Pat also leaves behind his brother-in-law, Arthur L. "Art" Gaetano. He volition be fondly remembered past his nieces and nephews, Annette Gaetano and her fiancé Gus Bullock; Paul DelBuono, and Anthony DelBuono; equally well as his great-nieces and slap-up-nephews, Amyah, and Gino; and Grayson. Pat will live on in the hearts of his many beloved cousins, especially Rosemarie Pastorella, who had go such a big part of their lives and was so gracious with her love. Pat was blessed with numerous dear friends who graced his life, specially Pat and Brenda Castelli. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Vincenzo and Antoinette (Danzo) Marino; his maternal grandparents, Pasquale and Grace (Festa) Casullo; and his diverse aunts and uncles, specially his Aunt Rosie and Aunt Terry, who always held a special place in his heart. Visitation volition be held Mon morning time, November 15, 2021, from x-xi at the Eannace Funeral Domicile, Inc., 932 South St., corner of Hammond Ave. In lieu of floral offerings, the Marino family unit will gratefully take memorial contributions made in Pat's honor to Upstate Cerebral Palsy online at https://www.upstatecp.org/means-to-give/donate; or to Resource Center for Contained Living, online at https://www.rcil.com/ways-to-give/online-donation-class; envelopes will also be available at the funeral home. Patrick's Funeral Service and Commemoration of Life volition exist held on Mon at 12:00 noon at Mary Mother of our Savior Parish, Church of Our Lady of Lourdes, 2222 Genesee St., Utica where his Mass of Christian Burial volition be offered. Entombment will have place in Calvary Mausoleum at the convenience of the family.
